That's All You've Got?According to this link on
Drudge, North Korea was aiming for Hawaii when it's missle fell apart. We need to be taking
Captain Insano seriously, but not his technology. I don't think we really need the missle defense system for this. Somebody with a pea shooter and a strong tailwind could take it down.
What We Need To DoI agree with what President Bush has said about how we need to get a group of nations together in order to definitively tell North Korea that they can't continue to do this. That group of nations does NOT need to be the United Nations though. To steal a line from Mark Cuban, I wouldn't trust the UN to manage a Dairy Queen, much less to respond to the Happy-Fun Gang from Pyongyang. What the United States needs to do is sit back at the table and let Japan, China, and Russia take the lead on this. Make sure that it is readily apparent that we are more than willing to back up those countries. We need to allow someone else to take the front seat on this. Too long we've been up front. Let's take a backseat for a bit and let them sort it out. If it gets to hot for them, we'll drop in and play the heavy.
